Topic: Statistics in the Wild – collecting and communicating data across cultures
Presenter: Heather Krause MSc PStat, CEO Datassist
Abstract: Heather Krause, Datassist’s founder, will discuss the challenges and excitement of statistical consulting in a global development environment. Using examples from her work on the ground in Bangladesh, Ghana, Tanzania and more she’ll share stories of how to use statistics to take a complex situation, figure out how to measure it, find the best statistical methodology, and then design how to communicate complex statistical results to diverse stakeholders.
