Topic: The impact of federal warnings on publically funded desmopressin utilization among children in Ontario
Abstract: In this talk, we present a time-series analysis using health administrative data from Ontario, Canada, among January 1, 2003 and March 31, 2010. This study investigates the impact of a United States Food and Drug Administration warning (December 2007) and a subsequent Health Canada warning (July 2008) on desmopressin use among children (<13 years). The application of the methodology that was used is novel in the sense that it is more commonly known among econometricians, which will be discussed in greater detail.
