Colin Neate is a People and Product Leader in Data and Statistical Sciences at Roche.   Colin previously worked for Roche in the UK prior to transferring to Canada in 2019.   Colin is a statistician and has contributed to the design, conduct and analysis of clinical trials across drug development in a number of disease areas, especially oncology.  Colin is also involved in related drug develop initiatives including the use of surrogate endpoints in oncology.    Prior to Roche he worked for GSK in the UK and has more than 20 years of experience in drug development in the pharmaceutical industry.   Colin likes spending time outdoors hiking and cycling, as well as undertaking travel adventures when feasible.

Bethany Gill has worked as a statistician in drug development for over 8 years. During this time, she has contributed to the design, conduct and analysis of numerous pivotal phase 3 studies, as well as innovative basket and platform studies. Bethany is currently an Early Careers Manager working in Oncology Biometrics at AstraZeneca. In this role, she has the privilege of developing and nurturing the next generation of statisticians. In her spare time, Bethany loves to run, cycle, and eat ice cream.

Melanie Poulin-Costello is a People and Product Leader in Data and Statistical Sciences at Roche.  Melanie is a statistician and has contributed to the design, conduct and analysis of clinical trials across drug development.  Melanie is also involved in several cross functional initiatives including the use of external controls, real world data, and recently in Policy exploring regulation in AI.    Prior to Roche she worked for Amgen and Bayer, so she has more than 20 years of experience in drug development.   She is also an adjunct professor in Biostatistics at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at University of Toronto. Melanie loves spending time in nature canoeing or hiking, then transferring those experiences through paint to canvas.

Jenna Sykes is a Research Biostatistician at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, Ontario. Her current research interests include international survival differences for cystic fibrosis as well as joint modeling of survival and longitudinal outcomes. She is also an assistant professor (status-only) at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto. She volunteers for the Statistical Society of Canada (SSC) on the Accreditation Committee and the Student Travel Grants Committee. Outside of work, she loves playing with her children and cats, running, playing guitar, reading and traveling – she hopes to reach 40 countries by 2025!
